Eventing

Remember for 2025... We have adjusted our levels to align with the newly recognized Starter level (2'3") at USEA.  Please check the description in the prizelist to make sure you are entering the correct level.  We are very excited to offer the Starter division as part of our recognized horse trials!

Bucks County Horse Park is the ideal venue for the Horse Trial enthusiast. We offer a wide range of opportunities to ride and compete in the three phases of Horse Trials. We have dressage rings, stadium jump courses, and cross country obstacles; including ditches, banks, and a water complex. The BCHP hosts two USEA – Recognized Horse Trials with divisions from Starter through Training every year. We also offer Schooling Horse Trials with divisions from Pre-Starter (2’) through Training Level. We also offer two Combined Tests every April and August. Friday Evening Eventing is a relaxed show environment designed to encourage no-pressure participation at the lower levels. It starts at Pre-Intro level (18” with cross country confined to one area) and runs through Beginner Novice.

Volunteers are always needed and it is a great way to learn more about eventing. All ages, no experience necessary and great perks!

USEA Recognized Horse Trials

The Recognized Horse Trial divisions range from Starter through Training/Preliminary level. The latter consists of Preliminary dressage and stadium with a slightly more challenging XC course at Training Level height. Competitors must follow USEA rules and regulations. (More information on USEA). All dressage tests will be the USEA 2022 versions. Pinneys will NOT be provided, please bring your own Bib.

Schooling Horse Trials

The Schooling Horse Trials offer Pre-Starter and Starter Divisions which provide competition experience for first time eventers and green horses in addition to Beginner Novice, Novice, and Training levels. The Schooling Horse Trials follow USEA rules and regulations, but do not require competitors to be affiliated with USEA or USEF. Schooling Horse Trials are an excellent way to event on a budget. Pinneys will NOT be provided for Schooling HT, please bring your own Bib; pinneys will be provided for Friday Evening Eventing.
